Early development in children takes place at a very rapid rate in their first five years of their life. They grow and develop in four major areas of development.

These are:

• Physical development - Motor skills, fine and gross motor abilities
• Social development - Ability to interact with others, the environment around them and developing a sense of self esteem
• Cognitive development - Learning about the use of language, understanding basic cognitive skills like responding and remembering, organizing ideas, solving problems and the physical growth of the brain.
• Emotional development - Recognizing emotions like joy, anger, sadness etc. and expressing them appropriately

The Terrific Tots program at My Gym Singapore, brings to you fun and creative activities for 3-4-year-old children that are designed to greatly enhance their social, physical, emotional and cognitive skills.

There are several fun activities for children between 3 to 4 years of age that will greatly enhance their early development.

Trace the alphabet and numbers together - This will not only help them for school but also hone their fine motor skills

Play with puzzles - Strengthen your child’s cognitive abilities with simple puzzles

Play with sensory toys - Playdough is a great way to encourage purposeful sensory play.

Scavenger hunt with nature- This will help children feed their curiosity as they are eager to explore newer things

In the Terrific Tots program at My Gym, your child will engage in many fun and exciting activities and games along with other children their age.

As they grow older, children become especially interested in other kids their age and their play and begin to enjoy co-operative play as preschoolers. We’ve listed down some fun social-emotional activities that can boost qualities like kindness, sharing, and coordination in preschoolers

Playing with board games- Board games instill in children, the idea of playing together by taking turns and understanding cause and effect.

Puppet shows- Unleash their creativity with puppet shows and build interesting characters together.

Role-plays and story times- Pretend play can be the best way to help your kid understand the roles and responsibilities of different social settings

Sports- Playing sports is a great way to teach your child about cooperation and communication. It builds their teamwork skills.
